Traffic Officer hiding behind tree

Fresno, CA...
Was just wondering if it was against CA law for Traffic Officers on motorcycles (small dirt-bike type), to hide behind trees when clocking motorists for speeding violations. I have pictures of the Officer relaxing in the shade behind a tree on the opposite side of a busy road while clocking motorists as they pass.

My response:

If you had read, and understood, "entrapment" before coming here to ask your question, you wouldn't have asked your question in the first place.

Use Google and read about "entrapment."

Officer hiding in trees

I apologize for the mistake. Is it legal for this officer to do this.

Officer Hiding Behind tree

So I can expect that the traffic judge will condone this type of activity and it will be futile to ague it, even with pictures of this guy being obstructed from view?

My response:

I realize you're not living in a huge metropolitan area like Los Angeles, but at the same time, Fresno isn't that small any more - - and I would expect your question from a small town hick from Arkansas. But, since you're from California, I have to ask - - "you're really not this stupid, are you?"

Considering that You are all-knowing and far superior than anyone in Arkansas, it would be trivial of me to expect an answer to a legitimate question. I quess the question begs to be answered: "you're not from California originally, are you?" Jackass...

Wow!

I guess you really are that stupid. I would have never thought that a Californian was that dumb. Hey, we live and learn, right?

Only proves what kind of a jackass is on the otherside learning. Now only if you had a life... you could live. Right? Jackass....

Yes, it is legal. Besides, would you want to be standing out on the edge of a hot roadway in Fresno County in 100 plus degree heat! I wouldn't!

Arguing that he was under the shade of a tree would be futile.

If skewerdems hasn't already left because of the attacks by IAAL, I would like to let him or her know:

There are some of us here who aren't like IAAL, and honestly want to help.

The best info on fighting tickets is in books you can get for free at the library. Go see your reference librarian. There is at least one book written specifically about California tickets.

Also, there is a good chance that the officer will not show up for the trial (if you ask for a trial). If he doesn't show, the case gets dismissed.

It depends on your definition of "good".

My friend at Fresno PD (a sergeant) tells me that their no-shows in traffic court with or without cause are below 15%. That's not "good" to me ... but, if it's all you got, what the heck? Go for it!

Funny how law differs between California and Arkansas. A guy in Arkansas mollests a child and he's sent away for 30 years and it's blamed on Arkansas because they're so backwards. A guy in California mollests lots of kids and gets let off because it's California and he's a rich psycho. Does that make sense to anyone else? I mean, Shu-Mon!
