illinoise I am wondering if there is a law in IL about the distance an officer must give you to slow down after a speed limit sign? I was clocked going 40mph in a 30mph zone, but the officer clocked me right at the 30mph sign, and I am wondering if I should go to court with the ticket. |

| | | The speed limit starts AT the sign. You are supposed to see the sign in time to slow down so that you are at the posted speed when you pass.
