Exclamation

traffic violations

I am from Tennesse, but got 3 tickets at the same time while visiting Indiana. I have to appear in court next week. The three tickets were for driving without a seatbelt, driving without insurance (car was insured under my friends name), and driving with a suspended license (I've never had a license and didn't know it was suspended). What should I expect next week in court? What kind of "punishments" should I expect?

Big money

If you didnt have a liscense why are you driving?
If you show proof of insurance the judge will probably let that go.
If you send me your picture and I like what I see I may come to court with you.

Your first offense should just be fines. But driving with a suspended license is criminal and will be on your record. You get caught driving again with a prior suspension, the fines will increase and you will possibly have to do a little jail time. Depends on the state. As far as insurance, when you go to court just show proof that the vehicle was insured that day you were stopped.
