Trial by written declaration in MA for speeding ticket??? I live in California, but got cited in Massachusetts.
The citation was for going 40 in a 30. There were no speed limit signs posted within 1 mile of the location where I got pulled over. The officer said that there was a city-wide limit of 30, unless otherwise posted [nothing was posted...].
My question is regarding the procedures for requesting a hearing in MA. Is there an option for trial by written declaration, similar to California? I could pay for the ticket, but it would be cheaper than flying to MA for a hearing, which seems to be the only option offered on the ticket itself. I have not been able to find anything on any MA gov't websites.
Any help is greatly appreciated... I only have a couple days before the deadline.... |
