ok. i'm scared. stupidly, i put my old tags from my other car onto a car i bought used and also had problems registering due to lost paperwork, and a joint ownership problem. i got busted, admitted to the cops, and now i have to go to court because what i did was a misdeameanor--which i didn't realize.
i've had a clean driving record (other than minor parking and moving violations) and no criminal activity. the car is now properly registered.
what can i expect from the judge? am i facing jail? how will this affect my insurance? can a conviction such as this be expunged?
i'm stressing out, please help. my arraigment is wed, 3/12/03 at 8 am.
