Unmarked School Zones

Hi, I am from Louisiana and recently got speeding ticked doing 55 in a 25. Here is the catch - the apparent school zone is unmarked. The only signs before and after the area is one of two people and a church sign. There is no decrease of speed sign nor any other indication that this is a school zone. What are my rights and how do I fight this? The DA said he would change this to a reduced charge of a non-moving violation, but I truly do not believe that I should have been ticketed in the first place. It seems like some sort of entrapment.

Thank you,
Lilred001 (Ashley)

Did the sign with the 2 people look like this one? http://members.aol.com/rmoeuradot/200x200/sch/S1-1.gif If it is, that is a school zone sign. I think I would take the DA's offer and consider myself lucky.
