| Use of Ticket Assassin? What is the name of your state? CA
I was just wondering, for those with experience using ticketassassin.com or being on the receiving end of people using advice from ticket assassin, what has been your experience? I can say that I have used their techniques every time I have been pulled over for a moving violation (a grand total of 2 times) and have never been cited, so I am quite fond of their advice for that. However, I've never had to actually fight a ticket, so I don't know how helpful their advice for those stages are. For instance, a primary strategy seems to be to try your luck: do a trial by written declaration, then trial de novo and hope that the officer doesn't submit paperwork or show at court. Something on the site said they understand officers submit the paperwork for a TBD less than 30% of the time, and this is a much more advised route to go because officers don't get paid to do the extra paperwork for a TBD while they do get overtime for an in-person trial. Then, once you get to the trial de novo stage, it has been a number of months since the alleged violation occurred so, there is an increased chance the officer won't show or won't have the proper notes/documentation in his possession any longer.
