VA 46/30-35; Incorrect info on ticketWhat is the name of your state? Virginia I was stopped a few days ago for speeding. The ticket says I was going 46 in a 30 zone. However, the actual speed limit on the road I was stopped for is 35mph. What happens when the officer writes inaccurate information on the ticket such as the speed limit? Yes, correcting the speed limit for the charge would still make me guilty of speeding, but I'm technically not guilty of the original charge. How does this work? Thanks in advance for any advice on this matter. |

| Bump. Also I add that I his method of checking my speed was pacing, at night, from far away. I was also charged with running a red light (which is absolutely NOT true), but that ticket says it is on a road that he was not even following me on. When I asked him if it was "where I took a right turn (just some random turn)," he said yes, but on the road he put on the ticket, I turned left. |
