What is the name of your state? I live in NC and was ticketed in Va for failure to obey a highway sign. Am inquiring to whether this violation is posted on my driving record for points and are insurance points awarded in NC?

Thank you

Cited for failure to obey a highway sign in VA.
Driver's Licence is in North Carolina.
From information off websites found by typing in Drivers Licence Compact in the Google search window
if found guilty or pleading guilty of the violation you were charged with
VA. will report this to the DMV in North Carolina and North Carolina will assign points on your licence as if the violation had occurred in North Carolina.

Your insurance carrier determines whether or not fees go up for a simple traffic violation.
The fine is paid to the state that issues the ticket.
