I haven't found a place online that provides me the information that I'm looking for. If someone can point me in the direction or give advice, it would be greatly appreciated!

I serve as a volunteer fireman/EMT in North Carolina. I recently purchased a strobe light package for my vehicle. I have heard from a couple of people that putting clear strobe tubes in the headlights of a personal vehicle is illegal. Using the red tail lights or amber clearance lights on my car for a strobe tube housing is permissible, according to my source.

Can anyone provide me with or point me in the direction of the definitive answer to this question? Thank you!
