Weird ticket i think bogus help

What is the name of your state? Texas

ok here it goes well i was driving from my high shcool to my tech school and decided i was gonna get some gass so i get off of the highway and the gass station for tomb thumb is accross the exit off the highway through their "parking lot". I exit and start heading over there and i see a cop sitting there so im extra careful to go slow and easy. i follow the road to the gas station and remember i left my gas card at home. So i decided to not get gas and then turn left and stop at a traffic light and as i am sitting at the traffic light i see that same cop in a suburban behind me smiling right on my bumper. As soon as i turn right when the green light comes on he turns his lights on and pulls me over. I have no idea why he pulled me over. I ask him why. He gives me this big speech about do you like people to drive through your lawn. He gets my info and goes back to his car and comes back with a ticket saying : "Cut through private drive to avoid traffic control device." He wouldnt let me get a word in and said i had to explain it to the judge. The area i drove through was a Big L shapped road with a bank, resturant and tombthumb with a variety of other stores in tom thumbs building. I just got a letter in from our Municiple court saying : "Offence: Cutting across property Citatation NO# 150553". I think its a bogus ticket because it constricts on your rights. Its like you can not drive by tom thumb or surrounding stores without stopping and going in to buy something. What do you guys think?

I have no idea why he pulled me over. You don't?

I ask him why. He gives me this big speech about do you like people to drive through your lawn. He gets my info and goes back to his car and comes back with a ticket saying : "Cut through private drive to avoid traffic control device." He's a dumb cop.

Quiz time everyone! A post for IAAL's list.

In fact, you are so astonishingly correct in this matter, it will not surprise us one bit if you are offered a generous settlement, because, by golly, that’s just how it should be.
