What is the name of your state? NJ

I got a ticket for Improper Passing. Basically what I did was pass on the shoulder to get to a right hand turn lane at a stop light. What can I say when I go to court to get out of the points? I'm a good driver, no offenses before. Please help me.

whell, that's about all you can say. Talk to DA before the judge sees you, and ask him to reduce if possible to non-moving violation (and that you can pay any fines for that).
