What is the name of your state? NY

Once you have been slapped with a ticket, and court decides a date for hearing, can you ask the court / DMV for any information regarding the ticket? Like - the notes / report regarding citation?

Yes.

However, I am not familiar with the Discovery process in New York. But there is certainly a way to obtain a copy of the officer's citation and any notes that the officer might have submitted regarding the citation.
