Question

What should I do in court?

What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? Georgia

My court date is coming up soon & I need some advice on how to proceed w/ things. Is it likely that the police officer will always be present? What do they normally do when they appear? Do they try to incriminate you? The officer who arrested me actually GAVE ME ADVICE on what to do in court! Should I take his advice? I got a ticket for a lane violation (failure to maintain proper lane) & since I haven't applied for car insurance yet I know that rates increase when points are placed on your license. Is it possible to NOT get any points placed? Should I just take a defensive driving course? This is my first ticket & I really don't know what to do.

While no one is going to explain to you how to conduct the hearing, similarly, no one who wants to help is going to be able to even give you basic advice without know the details of what you got the ticket for, your defenses, etc.
