Where would one find city parking regulation laws

What is the name of your state? WV

Does anyone know how I can go about finding a city's parking regulations?

My response:

Homie, I was trying to lead our resident, dearly departed, mass murderer, down the "garden path." Let me take over on this one. I figure, with all the questions I'm going to ask, this thread will be about 20 posts in length before Ted Bundy finally gets his answer.

My response:

Thanks, Homie.

Okay, Teddy boy, we is a waitin' fo yo answer.

As you know, Ted Bundy, a brilliant man, represented himself at trial. Have you ever heard the words that the judge said to Ted Bundy during sentencing him to death? Sentencing him to death, Judge Edward Cowart told him: "I would have enjoyed having you argue cases in my courtroom. You're extremely talented. I bear you no animosity. But you went the wrong way, partner. Take care of yourself."

My comment:

Here's what good ol' Ted Bundy wrote to me awhile back . . .

"Shame on me for using my own name! At one time I used to go by Ted, but because of dorks like you I had to start using Theodore."

Dork, huh?

I'll just keep reminding people of your namesake, okay?

From what I've read of him recently sounds more like Al Bundy

O.K. now back to the sidelines

Now to your question: Generally, the parking ordinances will be found in the municipal codes, or if the specific location is in an unincorporated area of any particular county, in the county code.
As I recall there are some state statutes relating to parking. However, based upon the question, I am assuming that you are referring to an specific charge to a local ordinance. Look for the identity of the agency that issued the citation. If the name of the municipality appears on the cite, you can pretty much count on finding the code in that same municipality's codes.

It is reassuring to know that these guys are consistent; that I am not the only one that is subject to their attacks.

My response:

Please quote anything I have ever said to you, personally, on these forums, that could or would be considered, or construed, as an "attack".

IAAL:

First a question: Since I did not mention any names, I am somewhat curious as to why you would even think that I was referring to you?

Second: There are some threads that were active, but which apparently have been removed. Before I would even attempt to respond to your question, I would need unfettered access to each of those threads. Can you arrange such access?

I guess our 'buddy' here is never going to be happy just to come here and offer concise, to the point, legal advice.

I tried to follow the rules of this forum, even offering an apology to the board when I stepped outside the purpose to do battle with someone I have no respect for. But when they continue following me and others around this board like a love-sick puppy attempting to put themselves forward at the expense of others, well then I don't give a rat's ass if I ever come back.

So, gotocourt, I have offered you every chance to act like a responsible officer of the court, to take your small, insignificant victories (at least in your mind) and move on. Yet you continue playing childish games.

Guess what. It's over. I am actually beginning to feel sorry for you because you feel such a need for validation that you come here to beat your chest, instead of taking the time to offer concise, verifiable citations and opinions as any competent judge would do who is proud to sit on the bench and represent the laws of this country.

It took you three days to offer up your proof of the question I asked and then it was so overly broad and not to the point that you committed the same offense that you accused others of, quoting statutes but offering no insight.

Please stop this game. Because the only one your hurting is your own reputation in the eyes of the people who come here for help.

Again, sorry IAAL. But I have enough pets following me around. And I don't need to prove myself to anyone. Especially not someone who should know better.

["It is reassuring to know that these guys are consistent; that I am not the only one that is subject to their attacks."]

MY RESPONSE: I am a writer on this thread. You said, "these guys" referring to all that had written on this thread. I am a "guy". You said, "their attacks" using the possessive plural. You didn't say, "with the exception of IAAL."

Are you really serious when you say "since I didn't mention any names" that you were required to before offense would be taken by grouping me into your all inclusive "these guys" and "their" statement? Whom do you think you're kidding?

Do you think that a judge or jury, as triers of fact, would buy that explanation, argument and defense? You want to play games? I'm very good at playing games too!

MY RESPONSE: You can find them yourself. I'm not your "researcher". However, with your apparent poor memory, I won't accept paraphrasing on your part - - actual quotes only. However, the simple fact is, there were never any personal "attacks" by me toward you.

Wow this is a hostile board! What I meant by my question is where I can find what the actual statutes say. I know it's in a city's municipal code but how do I go about finding exactly what that code says? Is this something that would normally be found at city hall, the city's library etc? The city is Huntington WV violation is 363.04. What I'm trying to do is find out if there are required maintenance checks for parking meters and whether a particular meter has been checked in regards to the accuracy of the timer. Also, how do you officially file a motion of discovery for a parking ticket? This is in regards to a $5 parking ticket. I'm just trying to have some fun with the city's municipal court.

On another issue, unlike the "other" Bundy, I'm not schooled in the legal system. I chose the path of a lowly laboratory scientist examining soil samples and rock core. However, I have yet to kill any women (that may change if my wife doesn't quit using the charge cards) and I don't see the electric chair in my future.
