whited out court date

What is the name of your state? Virginia

officer whited out my court date when I was pulled over. Went to traffic court and my ticket is not in the system so I can not pay it or determine when I need to be in court. Can my ticket be thrown out because of this? Also clerk of court directed me to personally contact the ticketing officer for clarification. Good idea? Please help.

Your ticket will not be thrown out. Simply wait until the ticket is entered into the system (make sure you check back often). "Better safe than sorry" is one of the best philosophies to live by to ensure this ticket won't bite you in the ass next year when you least expect it, n'est-ce pas?
