will GA speed tckt create pts on NC license?

I live in NC and recently received a speeding ticket in GA. My prior driving record is fairly clean - I think I received a 1-point violation about 7 years ago. This most recent violation was for 76 in a 55.

I understand that the two states have reciprocity, but don't understand how that applies to points assessed against my license. Are points ignored for out-of-state moving violations? If not, which state's point system applies? NC considers +15 to be reckless and thus more points, but GA is a bit more lenient.
