will the judge listen?

What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? Arizona.
I got a ticket for rolling through a stop sign in my semi. I did not come to a complete stop. What I want to know is will the judge let me explain why there was confusion about the stop, and let me explain?
I was traveling east on highway 60 toward Phoenix from Wickenburg. I came up to a sign that read Loop 303 1/4 mile. The next sign read 303 with a arrow pointing right. I turned right onto 303 . The next sign I saw was picture of a arrow with a stop sign under it, and a sign under that sign reading, Loop 303 traffic does not stop. I came around a small curve and noticed a highway patrol parked on the right side of the road by a stop sign with a sign under it which read Loop 303 traffic does not stop. I slowed down confused about such a sign, with a patrolman looking at me and rolled through the sign. When He stopped me he said when I turned right off highway 60 I was still on highway 60 loop. But that's not what the signs said.

Will the judge let me talk?

My response:

Sure, the judge will let you talk. You'll have three choices - -

1. Plead guilty. You'll pay the fine or take community service.

2. Plead not guilty. You'll be given a trial date.

3. Plead guilty with an explanation. You'll then be given a chance to explain your situation, after which the judge will find you guilty. You'll pay the fine or take community service.

Arizona may still let you take traffic school and the ticket not show. Most states have stopped in compliance with the Federal Regs for CDL drivers but some courts have not implemented the new law. Call the clerk of court and ask. If the answer is yes confirm it with a letter to her.

You also need to find out if your court date is a trial or arraignment. If it is just an arraignment you may be able to enter a not guilty plea by mail or fax. They will then set a court date for the trial.
