won't give me my bail back

What is the name of your state? NY

I posted 500 dollars bail for one of my sons friends.
when I posted the bail they told me it would be refunded when he was done with court.
I asked would his potential fine be subtracted from my bail?

they said NO they can't do that.

SO he got a 135 dollar fine.
when I went to get bail back the jerk said the fine had to be paid before they would reliece the bail ..

just thought you-all would like to hear about the nice court systems here is upstate small town NY.

Thats the way it is everywhere. And if the fine is not paid in a short amount of time, the bail will be revoked and applied to the fine and late fees.
