Question

written plea for Def Adj

What is the name of your state?Texas

The speeding ticket (72 in a 55) was issued in a city a long way from where I reside. Can I enter a plea and request deffered adjudication (speeding ticket) and community service (court costs) in writting?

Do I plea Guilty or No Contest when requesting Deffered Adjudication?

Letter to Judge below (not sent): (Should I include or submit to someone else?)

I am requesting a judgment of deferred adjudication. I have not had a ticket for a long time and I am a careful driver. I have not been involved in an accident since my twenties. No excuse for speeding. We went to beach to celebrate graduating MBA and I have never been to Crystal Beach. I was looking around more than paying attention to speed. Please let me know if this is an option you will consider?

I am also requesting community service for the $97.00. I would like to complete this in Houston/New Caney area if possible. Please advise if this is a possible option as I have spent a lot of money on schooling and money is not easy to come up with.
