Wrong court date on ticket

New Jersey.

Issued ticket for improper passing on 10-24-02.

Court date on ticket is 1-09-02 .

It would be hard to show up on this date since it has already passed!!

Can I get out of this ticket??

No. Call the court and the date will be fixed. An incorrect date is not enough to have a citation dismissed. Failure to show up could result in a larger fine, a warrant for your arrest, and suspension of your driving privileges.
