wrong court date on ticket

What is the name of your state?GA. I got a speeding ticket last month on the ticket it stated to appear in court on Feb, 16, 2005. Well I showed up for court on that date and was told that it was the wrong date on the ticket. I was told that I will get a letter in the mail stating my new court date. My question is if the trooper put the wrong date to appear in court on my ticket what makes you think anything else is right on the ticket. Also the trooper was not there for court. My question is can my ticket get thrown out because of all of this?
