Wrong Way on a 1-Way Street

I was recently ticketed for going the wrong way on a 1-way street. I use this street at least once weekly and though there were signs there,I did not pay enough attention to see them at night. I have been told that the signs were only up for 3 days when I was ticketed. Since then, I have seen cops in that same area many times and realize that there are lots of people that are not aware of this change! I see no sense in fighting this because of the signs but what are that advantages of Deferred Adjudication? Are there any prerequisites to requesting deferred adj.? Will the ticket show up on my insurance if I request def. adj.? Thanks for any and all help!
