How much percentage does a music publisher get if he is also the one who does the music for a writer's lyrics? In other words, when the publisher is also the one who puts music behind the lyrics, what is the publisher's share? What is the lyricist's percentage, and what is the share for the one who puts music to the lyrics?

I'm being told the publisher gets 50%; the lyricist gets 25%, and the writer of the music gets 25%. (in this case, the publisher is the same person who has put the music behind the lyrics.) Are these correct percentages?What is the name of your state?
