Pilot Reality Show- Contract Advice

What is the name of your state? California

About a year and half ago, my friend and I created, produced, and hosted a reality travel show. We shot the pilot in Nepal. We have over 70 hours of footage and a trailer. We do NOT have a finished episode, just a trailer. Our total investment: approximately $25K.

Last week a production company presented us a contract (based on our trailer and treatment) in which they offer to pitch our show to various networks as part of a slate of reality shows that they already have rights to. In exchange, (I'm paraphrasing the contract) they want 60% of all future profits.

I have two questions: Given that we have done all the pre-production and production is this a (un)reasonable offer? What percent of the profits is typical for someone in our position?

Any advice would be helpful as they are looking for an answer in the next week.

This is NOT a "legal" question. This is a business question. There is no way that any one of us could provide you any sort of answer that is more accurate than your own answer.
