Protecting your new magazine concept and idea....What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? New York City I'm startiing a magazine and I would like to know the route to take in legally protecting the idea and concept of the magazine. Also, approximately how much would this cost? |

| It would be near impossible to protect the concept and idea of a magazine. Visual layout, the actual content could be protected by copyright. The title subject to trademark. If I wanted to make a sports photography magazine and run one issue a year with bathing suit models, there's not much Time Warner could do about it.
