Urgent question about liquor license

Kentucky
I am the bar manager of a nightclub/ music venue in KY. They are requiring us to surrender our liquor license this week. Is it correct that without a LIQUOR license we can carry on business as usual just we cannot serve alcohol? Any help would be great and the faster the better as I need to know what to tell my employees and bands that we have already booked.
Thank you very much for your help!

You need to get a lawyer RIGHT AWAY.

As the operator of a licensed premises, you should have lawyer on SPEED DIAL already!

I have contacted attorneys in our area and are still waiting for a response. Any ideas based on your own experiences?

What did the suspension occur for?

What did the suspension order say?

Was the place ordered closed for a fixed period?

This is why you really need a lawyer.

The suspicion came up because of this:
We have two owners, man and woman that are dating. I'm just the manager. The entire business and license is in her name. She is the "actual" owner. Her boyfriend has had a felony and cannot have a liquor license. The authorities have twisted it to say that she got the license for him and are now taking it.

I didn't see the actual statement, but am hearing different things from each of them. I don't know if they ordered us to close, can the do that? If the license is the issue, we have surrendered the license, we're not going to serve alcohol, that should be it, right?

<Edit>I just spoke to an attorney who advised me to call our ABC regulator who is not answering. Anywhere else to turn?

OK, then realistically speaking this is there problem. And given the felon situation, this is not just going to go away.

They can, and typically do, order you to cease operations. I do not know exactly what was in the order, neither do you.

As you are the manager, and not the license holder, in addition to worrying about a lawyer for the company, it would not hurt to get your resume in circulation.

Per the law this is just not kosher.

The owner must be the real owner, not a shill owner or "owner".

A felon can't get a license. If he is part of the business, then, yeah, they will pull the license. Its illegal.
