Hope this isn't too stupid of a questions but I am totally new to this business. I am in the process of starting a Title Insurance Company with a partner. The split is going to be 90/10; I will be receiving 10%. She basically is the investor and paying for all expenses and I will be doing the work. What I first get is 10% of what the company makes and the second amount I make is what I need to decide what to charge my partner. My partner wants me to decide what I want to receive in compensation for three different areas - title searching, writing up the title insurance and closing the deal. We will be making about 400 to 450 per deal. I don't have a clue on what I should ask for each service I do. Any suggestions? Thanks.
