Hi,

I invested some monies in buying stock of new corporation.
I paid by check to owner of the corporation on personal name.
I have all agreed terms in email and his confirmation and agreement.
Now he is not willing to give me shares.
Can I enforce the agreement which is in electronic format and not on paper and signed?

Thanks

TH

The e-mail is admissible in court as to the intent of the parties. It is not, in and of itself, the agreement.

To have a valid contract you have to have a meeting of the minds, for which the e-mail will is support, consideration, the check and something for the consideration such as the shares.

I would pursue this depending on if the information you posted here is as you say.
