What is the name of your state? California

I started a corporation in 1995 believing funding was coming for a product. This did not happen and the corp. has been idle since (no business). I have not paid the yearly $800 min. tax. The state now wants it. Can I dissolve the corp without personally being liable for this? What is the best way to bow out?
