I had a NY atty represent me in a houseclosing. The monies were sent to his escrow account. He advised me of an investment backed by a promissory note from a friend? of his in England.I have yet to get my money back.He attempted to file for bnkrpty but I appeared as a creditor.
He claims investment is okay but now demands-tribute before he will give okay to English promissor.I need an attorney in Witley, Surrey GU8 5PR vicinity.
I have already reported his actions to various governmental agencies and I am still waiting for Grievance Commitee decision.

My response:

Thanks for the story. I'm not sure what, if any, assistance we could be for you in this matter. You see, this is an American legal "help" site, and none of the contributors, including myself, practice English law or know the Rules of the Crown Courts. Suffice it to say, beyond what you've already done for yourself, there's not a whole lot we can do for you.

Thanks for writing.

You may want to report this guy to the Grievance Committee of the Appelate Division of the Supreme Court of NY.
