i hope i'm on the right board; i have tax questions. if i itemize on my fed return, can i deduct my state (georgia) taxes ('99 and '00)in my figures. can i also deduct a defaulted student loan that i am currently making payments on? and thirdly, can i deduct my current year school expenses,i.e. fees, books, calculators, etc.(not tuition, though, it is being paid by employer)? thank you.
