What is the name of your state? Indiana

My husband is in a band and they are starting to make some money.

What is the simplest way to start a "business" so that no individual member has to claim the income? Would each member of the band be an "owner"? If a band members quits and is repalced, how could that be handled?

What is the simplest way to have songs/an album copyrighted? Can more that one person be listed as the author?

Form a corporation, with each band member having equal amounts of stock, and requiring each band member to sign an iron clad contract that he won't sell the stock to outsiders, etc. and that new member would receive an equal portion of the stock. OTOH, this opens up double taxation, but how much are we talking about right now?

**A: if an indivdual earns compensation then such compensation should be claimed as income.
