In our band there are no real written down laws or rules, only acceptance and agreeable “friends”. The band has about 20 members now and only recently has the following become a situation.
In our requirements you must first buy a uniform before being considered for membership. You must also perform with us for a year before being considered for membership. Membership is a simple majority vote at the end of a first years participation. First; is that acceptable. Second; If someone buys that uniform and before being voted in the band at the end of the year, we then find him unacceptable for any reason because of a personality flaw in him, or for any reason what so ever, dose that obligate the band in any way financially to pay back, buy back the uniform, or obligate us in any way to accept him as a member? Can this person be asked not to return, not to participate with us without futher requirments.
