I own a company with a partner, we are 50/50 in shares, but he has put up more upfront money than I. We have been operating for 8 months and he is not happy with our partnership and has demanded a buy out for my initial investment or he will create a mess. I want to continue to run the business without him. If don't accept his offer can he start a partition action against me? If so, what alternatives do I have to keep the business? Do I have to start a partition action first? Can I force a buy out of his shares?
