can i set up a corporation that buys and sells/rents property?

I buy and sell/rent property for investment purposes and am interested in setting myself up as a corporation. The reason I would like to incorporate is to ensure the protection of my personal assets, in addition I believe I would benefit when it comes to taxes. Is this allowable?
