What is the name of your state? Texas

I was in the owner of a small Company, that did Roofing and siding.

I am retirng and clsoing my Company, I have cancelsed my DBA, and have closed my shop., and checking account. and am wanting to cancel the Liabilty Inusrance.

But before I cancel the liabilty Insuracne I was wanting to know :

I have never had one complaint or ever been sued, but I worry that with canceling my Inusrance, that in the future I could be sued for leaks or etc.., and they could sue me for personal property, as I was the owner of the Company.

I had read that I need to cancel my DBA , and that would stop anyone from suing me personaly, ( for work done under my DBA )

iS THIS TRUE ?
