This is really strange. I received a check, and I think it is for some email forwards I sent, but I'm not sure. It is a valid check with my name and address, and it doesn't say that to cash it will in any way bind me to a contract or anything like that. Is this just my money free and clear? I ask, because it is a rather large sum.

My response:

Well, since it's strange to you, it's even stranger to us. We have even less knowledge than you as to what might have transpired in your past to know what the check is all about. Just put yourself in our shoes, reading a post like yours.

I don't know, call the drawer to find out what it's about. Once done, you'll probably find out and say, "Oh, yeah!"
