What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
Maryland

I was wondering if my business needs a license? I plan to offer computer repair services at my college and post on the bulletin boards. Do I need a license if I am just going to have people bring me their laptops to the school or take me to their house to fix the problem? Is it necessary to have a license? If so, what do I need to do to get my business legal?

Here is a link to Maryland's Department of Business & Economic Development, which provides the information you need to start a business in Maryland: http://business.maryland.gov/start

I wish you success with your computer repair business.
