Confused??

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Indiana
I was contacted my a lady that she was a Certified Payroll Specialist and wanted me to work for her in my home, as a data entry/ typing asst.
That she would send me the money I needed to purchase the equipment I needed to get started - printer, software and ink etc...
So I was sent a cashier check from Wells Fargo Bank, for $2350.00.
$400.00 for the equipment I needed, $100.00 for gas money she justed added for me.
Then I am supposed the Wire transfer the remaining amount to some man in Florida at PayCircle for registration I am not sure what this is for.
Why couldn't she just setup that registration??
Why do I have to do this wire transfer?
Is this on the up and up???
