What is the name of your state?
Maryland
I have never posted anything before so please bear with me if I do something wrong.

I have a question. My business is late on some bills due to two forced moves. One of the "credit collectors" sent me a copy of a letter that was sent (?) to the Secretary of State of Maryland asking about our business. Is this legal? Is there anything I should do? We intend to pay these creditors as soon as we can and have stated that but need to wait until the Spring jobs start.

Thank you for any helpy you might have for me.

Yes, it is legal. Anyone can ask the State for any public information about any business or person.
