dealership fails to produce title

Four months ago I purchased a car and dealership and finance company refuse to produce documentation needed to register vehicle. Finance manager lost job at dealership in regards to this transaction but I have still not been able to obtain proper paperwork. I have threatened to return car due to the fact that I can not register this vehicle. Any advice would be very helpful. I am to the point that I do not even wish to keep this car but can not even sell it without clearing up this matter. Thanks in advance!

Have you contacted the police to find out if the car was stolen? The local consumer protection office?
