As a new business owner, if someone returns merchandise and can't find anything they want and takes a store credit, can the store credit have an expiration date? Along those same lines, if someone buys a gift certificate, can that gift certificate have an expiration date? We're thinking of adding an expiration date of at least a year from purchase. We just don't want these things hanging out there forever.
