Are buildings somehow copyrighted? Meaning, if I go take a picture of a famous building at Harvard and want to use it as part of my company's logo, is it necessary to get permission first? Am I breaking any laws by not getting permission?

Sorry...didn't know where else to put this...

SOme building owners have filed for copyright and/or trademark protection. There may not be any final answer, but there was a big story in the NY Times about this 6 months or so ago.
