    Hire an overseas employee

What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? FL

Can a US company hire and pay an overseas employee?
The employee will be located and work overseas as a non US citizen/permanent resident for a US company.
It will be possible to be paid directly, based on a contract? If so, his income (income tax) will be considered in US or abroad?
    Thank you.

Are you saying that this person is a green card holder living abroad? "Non US citizen and Permanent Resident" = greencard holder. Or did you mean something else ?

You can pay him/her as an independent contractor if you wish. He/she is supposed to file US income tax regardless of where they work in this world - assuming they are earning above certain dollar amounts.

But if this person is a greencard holder - he/she should be careful in the manner he/she works abroad - so as not to loose the greencard...

If this person is just a non-us citizen, and you pay him as independent contractor, then he should file taxes according to the law of the country in which he resides. US tax law does not apply to him - but only to you.

I imagine it would depend on the laws of the country that you are planning to hire this person in. You might have to go through an agent.
