This year a local Child Care provider was caught having a dozen or more children over her license capacity. She was fined $200 and still operates her business and she continues to operate over her limit every day. I was told by our County Inspector that she was told by the State Licensing Director; Judy Chase to stay away from her! I was caught being over one child and she told our County Inspector to take away my license??? She refused to do so and told her she would do a follow-up check on my day care, at which time I had my legal number of children. My question is why is this day care provider being given special treatment and what legal action can I take against the State.
