What is the name of your state?
Alabama - My husband recently passed away. He was owner of an electrical contracting company that hasn't done business for 8 years. He continued to submit tax returns throughout these years....of course stating loss. I have no "ties" to this business.
I spoke to a lawyer here in town and he told me to "let it die on the vine". Since no business has been done in this time period and there is no active business location he felt there would be no reprocussions legally. He stated he felt there was nothing more I needed to do. Would appreciate a second opinion.....
