What is the name of your state? Georgia/ Delaware

A corporation which was incorporated in Delaware and had registered as foreign corporation in Georgia, withdrew from Georgia and merged with another company. According to a corporation company in Delaware any merger results in the end of the legal personality of the initial corporation and therefore any legal claims which it had are gone and those in the process of arbitration have to be ended as the claimant no longer exists. Is this true? Does anyone know where I could obtain advice on such a matter.

Thanks!
