I have always been told that all commissioned Military Officers may serve as Notary Public, using their regular commission date.

I was trying to find a cite for this, but I am no longer military, so I can't just call legal aid and ask.

Does anyone here have any information on this?

My response:

The file is in PDF format, so you're going to need to install "Adobe Acrobat Reader." Click on the following site and then click on "AFI51-504"
http://usmilitary.about.com/jobs/usmilitary/library/mi linfo/afregs/bl51-pubs.htm?iam=dp&terms=Notary+Public+law+military

I hope this helps, and thanks for writing.
