What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? NJ

I'd like to start a home bakery and I've read that some states do not allow the sale of home-made food. Is NJ one of them? I searched for hours online, couldn't find anything, and I'm not really sure who to contact about this.

If NJ does allow it, how/where can I find all of the rules? (Like what constitutes a commercial kitchen, do I need to list ingredients of cakes, etc.)

Thanks :)

Most 'home-based' industries are regulated locally. To determine what rules you must comply with, start by contacting your local zoning commission and health departments.
